On Saturday April 16th at 4 p.m. the Jefferson County Constables honored all former Jefferson County Constables with a certificate of appreciation. Also honored was the widow of Jefferson City Police Officer David Denton who passed away last year, and the widow of Constable Euel Winstead who passed away last year. Certificates of appreciation from Governor Bredesen were presented to Mrs. Denton, and Mrs. Winstead by Constable Brett Kilgore. Certificates of appreciation to all former Constables were presented by Chief Constable Larry Thurman.
